I am a mostly self taught composer with a wide background in percussion and classical performance. I have attended BYU with an emphasis on Percussion Performance and later in the Commercial Music Program. I’ve been musically inclined my whole life and I love all kinds of music.
I’ve been inspired by many Nintendo games, the Dark Souls series, Capcom games, Titanfall, you name it. I enjoy composers like Hans Zimmer, Ludwig Gorannson, John Williams (honorable mention to Daft Punk for TRON LEGACY). I love to analyze the music and how it makes me feel.
Some of my most fond memories come from times when I would play Mario Kart, or Ocarina of Time with my family. The music always struck me, took me to a place where I felt I could express myself most clearly. I would recreate it on the piano by ear, try to learn the melodies, and it made me happy.
My goal is to give that same joy to you, the people I write for. I want to capture those moments where words fail and give people memories like I was given.
